The Science of Longevity: March 26-28 at Yoga Yoga Westgate
Austin, Texas - (March 9, 2004) Robert Svoboda, the first Westerner ever to
graduate from a college of Ayurveda (in 1980) and be licensed to practice Ayurveda
in India, will teach a weekend workshop, The Science of Longevity, at Yoga Yoga

Svoboda has traveled the world lecturing, consulting and teaching. He is a
published author of many books including the Aghora Series: Aghora, At the Left
Hand of God; Aghora II, Kundalini; and Aghora III, The Law of Karma. According
to Svoboda, "We dry out as we age, physically and mentally; we 'rejuvenate'
by 'progressing toward juice' (Rasayana). Rasa is life's 'fluid reality,' life's
juice, in every sense of the word. Existence without 'juice' is dry and tasteless;
satisfaction appears in life only when our personal juices are abundant and
free-flowing. A rich, contented life is filled to the brim with a juiciness
that trickles down to the very core of one's being." Rasayana seeks to
replenish and enhance "juice" as it is lost, employing techniques
from Ayurveda, Jyotisha, Tantra, Yoga, music, dance, chanting and ritual to
make our lives "juicier" by cultivating prana, the life-force, and
agni, the internal fire.
