YOGA YOGA SECURES LOCATION FOR FOURTH CENTER IN AUSTIN
New site is in north Austin at Gracy Farms Shopping Center near Mo-Pac and Burnet Road.

Austin, Texas - (June 14, 2005) Yoga Yoga plans to open a new yoga center this fall at Gracy Farms Shopping Center, 12002 Burnet Road. The new location with 4,274 square feet will have three studios and a retail area with yoga books, music, videos, and clothing. Additional amenities include filtered air, sound-proof studios, full spectrum lighting, and specially designed low-impact floors. The class schedule will include Yoga Yoga's full array of offerings in Hatha, Ashtanga, and Kundalini yoga.

Offering multiple styles of yoga under one roof, a revolutionary concept in the industry especially in the early days of Yoga Yoga, continues to be a hallmark of the business. "Our intention is to make yoga more accessible," explains Michael Benton, who directs the teacher training program at Yoga Yoga. "Convenient locations are one way we make practicing yoga more accessible for our students. Offering multiple styles of yoga is another. The fact is that yoga is not a one size fits all practice. The variety at Yoga Yoga allows students to find a yoga class that fits their individual needs."

After years of teaching yoga in their home, Laura (Guru Karam) and Michael (Mehtab) Benton opened the first Yoga Yoga center in January of 1998 at 1700 South Lamar, now known as Yoga Yoga South. The couple then partnered with Rich (Raghurai) Goldstein to open Yoga Yoga North at 2167 Anderson Lane in 2000. The third center, Yoga Yoga Westgate at 4477 South Lamar, which opened in 2003, is the organization's largest studio, with 6,411 square feet.

The number of Americans practicing yoga has increased 43% since 2002, according to a study sponsored by Yoga Journal magazine. Currently, an estimated 16.5 million U.S. adults practice yoga. NAMASTA, the North American Studio Alliance which is an organization for mind-body professionals, estimates that currently there are 70,000 yoga teachers in North America. More than 70 yoga instructors teach at Yoga Yoga.
